STANCE

The deadlift is performed from the floor and does not require a rack. Use bumper plates to maintain the same range of motion regardless of weight. Stand with your feet about hip-width apart, toes slightly pointed out. The bar should be 2–3 cm from your shins, positioned directly over the midfoot (where your laces would be).
