HAND POSITION

In a squat rack or stand, position the J-cups at chest height, ensuring they are low enough to clear easily when unracking but not so low that it takes extra effort to unrack the bar.

Stand 6-8 inches away from the bar. Measure your hand width by positioning your index fingers shoulder-width apart. Flare your elbows out and place the palm part of your thumb on top of the bar, so that your thumbs are parallel to the bar.
