Movement Drills

A variation of sloth climbing, the goal of this drill is to improve lock-off strength (the ability to reach the next hold in a controlled manner). Choose 2–4 climbs a few grades below your redpoint limit. Climb each one 1–2 times with 2–3 minute rests. Follow similar rules to sloth climbing:

Control every move

Climb slowly

Lock-off when possible

Engage back + biceps

*Hover above each hold for 3 counts before grabbing it
