HAND POSITION

To set your grip, first wrap your fingers around the bar, then your thumbs. Do not let the bar rotate in your hands. This order is important because it ensures the bar is set in the palm of your hand rather than your fingertips, allowing your wrists to remain in a neutral position throughout the lift. From here on, squeeze the bar and keep it from rotating in your hands.
