Footwork Drills

5-10 min. The goal is to improve your ability to generate foot tension and become more aware of your footwork. Pick a foothold on a gently overhanging wall (20-40* or Kilter Board). Try to make as many moves as possible, both upwards and laterally, keeping the foot in contact with the hold. Focus on driving with the leg and think of your foot as a third arm. Really push the limit in terms of how extended you get and go until you fall. Rest 1-2 min and repeat with other side. Do anywhere from 2-5 rounds.
