Footwork Drills

The goal is to maximize foot tension on every move and every foothold. Pick 3-5 climbs a few grades below your redpoint ability. One rule: wherever your foot first touches a hold, you must keep it in that position to do the next move (you ARE allowed to pivot). Pretend that it is superglued to the hold. Flex at your ankle and push through the hold to increase tension. Really focus on increasing the contact area between your foot and the hold. Jump down and try again if you readjust. No cheating!
